Take These Important Steps of Salvation

The Creator, God made us that way. God wants to have a relationship with us, and 2,000 years ago, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to earth to make that possible.

It’s as easy as ABC.

A – Acknowledge that you need God.

  • Admit that you have sinned (done things displeasing to God) and that sin has separated you from a holy God.
  • "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
  • "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8).

B – Believe in Jesus Christ.

  • Believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross.
  • "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
  • "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved . . .” (Acts 16:31).

C – Confess and turn away from your sin and wrong doing.

  • "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation” (Romans 10:9 and 10).
  • "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

(Scriptures are from the New King James Version of the Bible.)

Pray to receive Jesus Christ into your life.
At this moment you can pray the most important prayer of your life by simply saying:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You came to earth and died for me on the cross shedding Your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. I believe You are coming back again to earth. Forgive my sin. Cleanse me now with Your precious blood. Come into my heart.  I give you my life.  I will serve You and follow You the rest of my days.  I no longer belong to this world, nor to the enemy of my soul.

By praying this prayer, confessing your sins, and receiving Jesus Christ into your heart, God has given you the right to become His forgiven child. The Bible gives you this assurance: "But as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on his name" (John 1:12).

After giving your heart to the Lord there are three things that every believer has to do in order to live a victorious Christian life:

1. Read the Word.
The Bible says, "Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee." The Word is your road map to Heaven and it has all the answers in it that you will ever need if you will read it, God will talk to you. It is a very relevant book for your life today and it will speak!

2. Pray every single day.
The Bible says, "Pray without ceasing." That means that you can pray anywhere, anytime, and in any place. God hears and answers prayer. One thing I love about God is that He can take anything you have to say to Him. Sometimes Church People can't handle all the things that you may have to say, but your heavenly Father knows what you are thinking before you even ask, so you might as well go ahead and ask and then ask in faith, expecting Him to answer. Matthew says, "Ask, and keep on asking, seek, and keep on seeking, knock, and keep on knocking. For those who asks, receives, and those who seek shall find, and to those who knock, the door shall be opened to you."

3. Find a good Bible-believing Church.
You can't grow into a mature Christian follower of Christ without getting involved in a good church. A Church where the Word of God is preached with integrity, the Music is going through the roof, and where you can learn, grow and mature in the things of God.

If you do all these things, it will astound you how God will use you, fill you with His Spirit and raise you up to do mighty exploits for Him.
